TDK-Lambda Launches LED Power Supplies For Lighting & Display Applications

October 21, 2009 by Jeff Shepard

TDK-Lambda has released the LD12 series of ac-dc power supplies that are designed for LED lighting and display applications with output ratings up to 12.6W. Both constant-voltage and constant-current models are available. These 12W ac-dc encapsulated drivers/supplies are designed to meet IP66 (splash proof) standards and operate with universal power inputs of 90 to 265Vac.

The constant-voltage models (LDV12 series) are available with 12, 15 or 24V outputs. While the constant-current units (LDC12 series) provide from 350mA up to 750mA with dc output ranges of either 3-18 or 3-36V. All models are convection cooled and can operate with an ambient temperature from -10 to +60°C. They are guaranteed to start-up at low temperatures down to -20°C. Typical output efficiencies are 82% under full load. Other standard features include short-circuit, overcurrent and overvoltage protections.

These power supplies meet EN55011-B/EN55022-B, EN55015, VCCI-B, CISPR22-B and FCC-B EMI and EMC standards (conducted and radiated). In addition, these units are safety agency approved to UL1310 (Class 2), IEC61347-1, IEC61347-2-13 and carry the CE mark.

The LDV12 and LDC12 series are available now and priced from $14.50 each in quantities of 1k units.
