TDK Innoveta Expands Veta DC-DC Converter Line

TDK Innoveta Inc. (Plano, TX) has expanded its Veta™ half-brick dc-dc converter product line to include a 450 W, 28 V output model. The fully regulated, isolated converter is designed to be powered from a 40 V to 60 V input source. The new 450 W Veta™ iHA increases available output power by 50% and saves valuable board space.

The 450W Veta™ converter offers a conversion efficiency of 94%; requires no derating, even up to 100 °C baseplate temperature; provides 60 A at 1.8 V, 2.5 V or 3.3 V, 40 A at 5 V, and 300 W at 12 V, 24 V, and 28 V; measures 2.28 in x 2.4 in x 0.5 in (58 mm x 61 mm x 12.7 mm); and meets industry-standard dimensions and pin-out for a half brick.

The Veta™ products employ auto-recovery circuitry to fully protect against input over-voltage and under-voltage, over-temperature, output over-current, and output over-voltage. Latching output over-voltage protection is optional. The Veta™ is approved to EN60950 for basic insulation. The iHA48016A280V is priced at $110 for 1,000-unit quantities. Samples are available now.
