SynQor Expands Peta Series Quarter-Brick Converters
SynQor Inc. (Boxborough, MA) announced an expansion to its Peta Series of high-current, high-efficiency, quarter-brick dc-dc converters. The PowerQor® Peta Series now delivers voltages of 1.0 V (60 A), 1.2 V (60 A), 1.5 V (60 A) and 1.8 V (60 A) in addition to the previously announced 3.3 V (45 A). The 60 A Peta Series extends SynQor’s line of Kilo, Mega, Giga and Tera half-brick, quarter-brick and eighth-brick modules. The Peta modules are suitable for telecom and datacom applications using distributed power architectures.
The Peta Series converters use synchronous rectification and SynQor’s patented topology to achieve high efficiency, low power dissipation and greater reliability, in a single board, open-frame package. All units operate from a standard 48 V input (35 V to 75 V) and employ the industry-standard quarter-brick footprint, measuring 1.45 in x 2.3 in x 0.45 in, (61 mm x 58.4 mm x 11.4 mm). Two different pin-out designs are offered, allowing the customer to either follow the recently announced DOSA standard double-output pin configuration for high-current quarter bricks, or the more traditional single-output pin configuration to allow for design flexibility.
Sample and production quantities are now available with a stock to eight-week lead time. The modules are priced at $77 in OEM quantities.
