Stackpole Introduces RSF/RSMF Series Resistors

The RSF/RSMF Series from Stackpole is an alternative to wirewound resistors rated at 5W and below. The RSF/RSMF Series is also rated for operation up to 200°C for the mini ½W and mini 1W sizes and 235°C for all other sizes, where most metal film resistors can safely operate only up to 155°C. Sizes from mini ½W up to 5W have a TCR of ±200 ppm and 1 and 5% tolerances. In addition, due to the film element technology, the RSF/RSMF Series is inherently fusible.

The low cost, high power to size ratio, and high operating temperatures make the RSF/RSMF Series ideal for a broad range of power supply and power control applications, network communications equipment, audio equipment and amplifiers, industrial controls, security and safety controls, avionics and instrumentation, small power tools, lighting controls and sensors, dimmers and timers.

The RSF RSMF Series is available in bulk and tape and reel packaging in size dependent increments. Pricing varies with size, resistance value, and tolerance ranges from around $0.02 each to $0.42 each in full reel quantities.
