Sola/Hevi-Duty Releases New UPS for Industrial & Commercial Applications
Sola/Hevi-Duty announced its new S4K6U Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) featuring 10kVA of power capacity, flexible output voltage, internal batteries, and an integrated maintenance bypass switch, all housed in an ultra-compact 6U (10.5 inch) enclosure that is configurable for either rack mounting or as a tower.
Designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment against fluctuating power and complete power loss, the S4K6U is a suitable solution for industrial computers, network servers, automation systems, robotics, enterprise telecommunications systems, medical diagnosis equipment, and process controls.
IT and network managers should appreciate the S4K6U’s true On-Line (double conversion) topology that continuously converts incoming ac power into filtered dc power, and then recreates it into low-distortion ac power. In addition, the UPS automatically senses input voltage and configures output inverters to match the input supply. This feature provides simultaneous output voltages, thus enabling users to power a variety of loads with different voltages without an extra transformer.
The S4K6U features self-diagnostic capabilities; multiple and simultaneous communication ports; an automatic internal bypass and a manual maintenance bypass for maximum availability of output power; continuous sinewave output to allow full compatibility with a wide variety of power supplies; and power factor corrected input to reduce reflected distortion while optimizing utility power.
The S4K6U is shipped with a manual bypass switch hardwire input and output PAD to simplify maintenance and trouble-shooting. Optional PADs are available with different plug-n-play connectivity.
The Sola/Hevi-Duty S4K6U UPS is expected to ship in February of 2007.
