November 19, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

SL Power Electronics Corp. announced the introduction of the PW152 external power family that meets the requirements set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR program, as well as European and Asian global energy efficiency initiatives.

"The PW152 fits a popular power range while meeting global energy efficiency standards," said Greg Harris, Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, SL Power Electronics Corp. "Available in both ITE and medical versions, the PW152 is a welcome standard product family to the Ault brand and it can be modified to meet unique OEM requirements."

The PW152 series is a low-cost option for leading OEMs in the data communications, telecommunications, or ITE markets. Competitively priced at $16.15 in OEM quantities of 1,000, the PW152 gives users added versatility because it is available in seven voltage models. Well-suited for telecommunications, broadband, industrial and computer peripheral applications, the PW152 single output series is available in a desktop style up to 50 watts in 5, 9, 12, 15, 18, 24 and 48V models.

To help reduce OEM product design-to-production cycle time, the CE-compliant PW152 meets UL60950, EN60950 and EN55022. In addition, the efficiency level meets ENERGY STAR and EU-COC guidelines. SL Power Electronics also offers modified and custom designs to meet specific OEM requirements and private label marking needs.
