Shindengen Intros Omni Series DC Power System

Shindengen America Inc. (Westlake Village, CA) introduced its new Omni Series -48V global power system, which is a 910A modular power system that is expandable up to 3600A (10,000A planned) and is designed for central office and wireless applications. The Omni Series is NEBS Level 3 certified.

The base system utilizes up to seven Shindengen GPR130, -48V/130A, switch-mode rectifiers and can support a load of up to 910A. The hot-swappable rectifier modules offer state-of-the art switch-mode technology with efficiency levels of 92 percent (or greater) and a THD of less than three percent. The system operates over a wide ac input range of 180Vac to 264Vac (three-phase). N+1 redundancy can be achieved with 780A (with one 130A rectifier redundant). The flexible dc distribution is available with circuit breakers or fuses in various sizes and combinations as required.
