Shanghai Fudan Offers FM7843 Input Controllers

Shanghai Fudan Microelectronics Co. Ltd. (China) announced its new FM7843 four-wire, resistive touchscreen, input controller, which is a 12-bit ADC that comes with a synchronous serial interface and a touchscreen-driving circuit.

The controller features a shutdown mode that brings power dissipation down to 0.5µW. It is fully compatible with the Burr-Brown ADS7843, and is suitable for employment in PDAs. It features A/D conversion of the input or auxillary voltage at up to 125kHz conversion rate. The device has a programmable 8-bit or 12-bit resolution and operates via 2.7V to 5V single supply. It is manufactured on a 0.6µm CSM process technology and is housed in an SSOP16.
