Seiko Instruments Intros MSxxxF NiCd Batteries

Seiko Instruments Inc. (Japan) announced the new MSxxxF Series of NiCd batteries, which have a nominal voltage of 3V and are designed for use in cameras, remote controls, PDAs, notebooks and pagers. The batteries are rated for operation over the -20 to +60 degrees C temperature range and can be stored up to 80 degrees C.

The MS614F has a capacity of 3mAh — higher than the 2.3mAh capacity of the MS614 — and an internal resistance of 150 ohms. It measures 6.8(ø) x 1.4mm, weighs 0.16g and exhibits a discharge current of 25µA. The MS621F has a capacity of 5mAh and measures 6.8(ø) x 2.1mm, while weighing 0.23g. It also has an internal resistance of 150 ohms and a discharge current of 25µA.
