Schaefer Expands Industrial Power Converter Offering
Schaefer Inc. has introduced a new family of 150W dc-dc converters, ac-dc power factor corrected converters and power factor corrected battery chargers.
The CH200dc-dc converter family offers input ranges of 18-36V, 36-75V, 45-90V, 80-160V, and 160-320Vwith 10 single output voltages ranging from 5Vdc to 220Vdc. The CP200 series of ac-dc power supplies offers the same range of output voltages from a power factor corrected 100-240Vac input. The BP200 series of battery chargers provides output voltages ranging from 12Vdc to 290Vdc. Requests for custom output voltages are easily accommodated.
Efficiencies range from 80-91% and all models feature tight line and load regulation. Overvoltage and overload protection circuitry is standard, with options available for dc input reverse polarity protection, redundant operation, dc oksignaling and temperature compensated charging voltage.
Units utilize industrial grade components and feature an operating temperature range of -20 to +75 ° C. Extended temperature to –40 ° C is optional. EN55022 class B EMI is specified, as well as immunity to EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-4 and EN61000-4-5 Level 3 standards.
Compact in size (as small as 6.61" x 2.83" x 4.29") this series offers three mechanical configurations of either a 19" Eurocassette mounting, chassis mount package or a DIN rail mount package, making them suited for a variety of applications including locomotive controls and communications equipment, telecommunication systems, process control systems, and power stations.
