RO Associates Debuts SuperVerter SVD48-0503

RO Associates Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA) announced the release of a new dual-output, high-efficiency half brick with 48V input and 3.3V at 15A and 5V at 12A output. The SVD48-0503 uses synchronous rectification and proprietary planar magnetics to achieve efficiency multiple outputs.

The SVD48-0503 comes in the industry-standard package of 2.28in x 2.4in x 0.5in, but can deliver a full 110W. Their high efficiency allows them to be operated without a heat sink up to 100 degrees C baseplate temperature. For more demanding environments or improved reliability, a thermal interface is provided to attach a heat sink.

Additional features include current limiting, short-circuit protection and cross-transient response. Evaluation boards are available and the modules are UL, CSA, TUV and CE compliant.

Pricing for the SVD48-0503 is $170 for single pieces and $140 for 100-piece quantities. Delivery is stock to six weeks ARO.
