RO Associates Debuts QV48-1.8-40-1 QuattroVerter
RO Associates Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA) announced the release of a new high-efficiency quarter-brick with 48V input and 1.8V at 40A. The QuattroVerter QV48-1.8-40-1 uses synchronous rectification and proprietary planar magnetics to achieve efficiencies up to 86 percent at 1.8V.
The QuattroVerter modules are high-efficiency, constant-frequency, isolated, low-noise converters that deliver up to 40A in a quarter-brick package. The advanced open-frame design allows the modules to be reliably operated in a typical application with no heatsink. The modules include remote sense, positive and negative on/off logic options, clamping over-voltage protection, and a trim range of –20 to +10 percent. Additional features include current limiting, short-circuit protection and good transient response. Evaluation boards are available and the modules are UL, CSA, TUV and CE compliant.
The QV48-1.8-40-1 comes in the industry-standard package of 2.3in x 1.45in x 0.42in. The QuattroVerter module is available in both through-hole and surface-mount packages. Pricing for the QV48-1.8-40-1 in single-piece quantities is $102, and $85 for 1,000-piece quantities. Delivery is stock to six weeks ARO.
