PULS Intros New SL10.104 DIN-Rail Power Supply

PULS GmbH (Munich, Germany), a manufacturer of switch-mode power supplies for DIN rails, has expanded its range of switched-mode DIN-rail power supplies with its new SL10.104, which delivers a guaranteed output voltage of 12V to 15V at 180W. The PULS device is not specified at 50°C, as is the usual commercial practice, but at an ambient temperature of 60°C. If a small de-rating factor of 6W/k is allowed, the device can even be operated continuously at 70°C.

The device is fitted with inrush current limiting and over-temperature shutdown. In addition to a manually selected 115Vac/230Vac input (85Vac, 132Vac/176Vac, 264Vac) it is also possible to power the SL10.104 from 240Vdc to 375Vdc, and it includes the PULS Overload Design™. Even in the presence of continuous overload the SL10.104 does not switch off (no hiccup), and will supply up to 1.5 times the rated current at reduced output voltage, making it easy to start even heavy loads such as motors or dc/dc converters. The 120mm x 124mm x 102mm SL10.104 is available immediately.
