Protek Power 450W Medical Power Supply Features Flexible Output Voltages

Protek Power North America announced its PM450 series of medical grade power supplies that comply to worldwide EN60101-1 medical safety standards for a variety of applications in patient vicinity medical devices, dental electronics, and laboratory equipment.

The PM450 series has a power factor corrected universal input and single, dual, and triple output models with the versatile attributes of floating and adjustable output voltages. Either U-bracket or enclosed (with recessed internal fan) mechanical configurations are packaged in a 10 x 5 x 2.5" size. The optional, integral cover and fan assembly, or user supplied moving air, allows for a full 450W of power from 0-50°C, with derated output power up to 70°C.

The PM450 series is comprised of twenty-one standard models. The power supplies are both line and neutral fused, in order to comply with European safety requirements. They also feature comprehensive protection circuitry including overvoltage, short circuit, and thermal protection. Status signaling including remote sense, remote inhibit and power fail detect are standard. The company states that quality design/manufacturing, high efficiency and high MTBF make the PM450 series a suitable choice for critical applications.
