Powerbox Presents RA/RB Series DC Power Supplies
Powerbox USA Inc. (Broomfield, CO) has developed two small, low-cost, rugged, dc power supplies for motor and other high peak power applications. The new RA/RB Series provide 100W to 300W of tightly regulated, dc power. Respectively, the two supplies will provide 100W or 150W of continuous power and will also provide 250W or 375W of peak power, convection cooled over a -45°C to +50°C ambient temperature.
The supplies may also be configured with an optional, thermostatically controlled fan, which provisions the supplies to provide 200W or 300W of continuous power. The supplies are available in any voltage from 12Vdc to 50Vdc and include a small 12V output for powering external microcontrollers and other auxiliary electronics.
The RA/RB Series have an auto-switching ac input and will operate over 90Vac to 132Vac and 180Vac to 264Vac at 47Hz to 63Hz. The supplies are physically identical and come in open-frame or enclosed versions. Both supplies may be optionally configured for more demanding applications, including a -40°C to +75°C operation, passive power-factor correction, increased ac surge protection, longer ac drop-out protection and/or premium quality ac input filter capacitors.
The RA/RB Series are available from stock to eight weeks, depending on output voltage and quantity. At 1,000 pieces, the base open-frame RA is $52.31 each and the RB is $64.17 each.
