Power Sources Unlimited Unveils Compact 50W Medical Desktop Switcher

Augmenting their offering of medical ac-dc power supplies, Power Sources Unlimited Inc. has announced the MPU50 Series of 50W ac-dc external power supplies. The extremely compact supply measures only 5.75" x 2.99" x 1.69" and features 4000Vac input to output isolation and safety ground leakage current of 0.1mA at 240Vac. Achieved efficiencies are 83% typical and the operating temperature is 0 to 70°C, with derating after 50°C.

The MPU50 Series has a 90-264Vac input and offers single, dual and triple output models, with a choice of output connectors. Both the input line and neutral are fused. Worldwide safety certification has been done to EN60601-1 medical standards and units meet EN55011 Class B emissions. Typical line and load regulation is 0.5% and 3%, respectively. Ripple and noise is specified at 1% peak-to-peak maximum and units feature comprehensive protection circuitry. All models meet RoHS and WEEE criteria.
