Philips Offers Small DQFN Logic IC Package

Royal Philips Electronics (Eindhoven, the Netherlands) announced its new small logic, integrated circuit (IC), 24-pin, depopulated, quad flat-pack no-leads (DQFN) package, designed for logic gates, octals and medium-scale integration (MSI) ICs. The 24-pin DQFN package has a footprint of 3.5mm x 5.5mm, enhancing the miniaturization of circuit boards and freeing board space for additional components and functionality.

The first products available in the 24-pin DQFN package are the 74LVC543ABQ, 74HC154BQ and 74HCT154BQ. The 74LVC543ABQ is priced at $0.50 in 10,000-unit quantities, and the 74HC154BQ and 74HCT154BQ are priced at $0.45 in 10,000-unit quantities.
