Phihong Develops Interchangeable Plug Adapter With Micro-USB Output Connector

Phihong USA has expanded its adapter offering with an 8W version featuring interchangeable input plugs and a micro-USB output connector. Designated the PSM08R-050(M)-R, the 8W adapter is available with four interchangeable clip adapter plugs, sold separately, for use in virtually any power outlet around the world.

The interchangeable ac power plugs allow OEMs to ship the same product anywhere in the world without requiring the cost of keeping inventory of different country-specific adapters to meet different current requirements. The double-insulated adapter has an ac input range of 90 to 264V and is rated +5Vdc/1.6A. It also features low leakage current and provides short circuit and over voltage protection.

The PSM08R-050(M)-R adapter meets ENERGY STAR IV and is fully compliant with the U.S. Energy Independence and Security Act. It also has received cUL/ULus, TUV, SAA, CCC, C-Tick and CE approvals.

The PSM08R-050(M)-R is priced at $13.06 each for a quantity of 10 pieces.
