PDI Releases New Branch Circuit Monitoring System for Data Centers

Power Distribution Inc. (PDI) today announced the release of the model 8212 BCMS local monitor, which helps manage the patented Branch Circuit Monitoring System (BCMS) at the data center power cabinet.

PDI also simultaneously released a new version of the BCMS product – BCMS Plus, which adds the capability to monitor voltage, several power measures, kwh, kvar, and other critical measures. Both new products are available as an option to new power distribution equipment or as a field retrofit for existing equipment.

The BCMS technology, invented and patented by PDI in 2000, has been a key product for PDI over the years and these new options add to PDI’s industry leading custom line of distribution equipment for data centers. The original current only version and the new voltage version of the BCMS allows active and preventive site management down to the individual branch current level.
