Orion Fans Delivers IP55-Rated AC Fans Designed for Rugged Environments

Orion Fans has expanded its product offering to include IP55-rated versions of its OA Series AC fans, making them suited for rugged, harsh environment applications. These fans feature diecast aluminum frames and a dual ball bearing system to deliver a reliable and quiet cooling solution.

“In harsh environment settings, where dust, moisture and other contaminants may come into direct contact with the fan, the IP55-rated sealing is required to ensure safe, reliable operation and an extended service life of the device,” said David Luna, product marketing manager for Orion Fans. “With distributor inventory and the shortest lead times in the industry, these robust AC fans can be shipped quickly for new product designs or for retrofit and/or replacement.”

The IP55-rated AC fans include the following models, OA109, OA172SAP, OA172SAPL, OA180, OA225 and OA280 fans, which are available in voltage ranges of 115Vac and 230Vac and power ratings from 8W to 158W, with airflows of 110CFM to 1,130CFM.

Other sizes, as well as DC fans, and blowers with special functions such as tachometer output, locked rotor alarm, pulse width modulation input, and thermal and constant speed controls, are also available upon request.

Pricing for the IP55-rated series AC fans in OEM quantities start at $20.60 with lead times of stock to twelve weeks.
