Mitsumi Electric Co. Ltd. (Japan) announced its new PST4xxx Series of CMOS reset ICs, which realize a voltage detection precision of ±1.5 percent and draw a maximum current of 1.5µA - one-tenth that of the company's conventional products.
The devices operate from a 6.5V supply and detect voltage between 1.6V to 4.8V over the
-40°C to +105°C temperature range. The ICs are available in SOT-23 and SC-70 packages with built-in delay timers. The SOT-23 devices have a delay timer of 0.05s, 0.1s, 0.2s, 0.24s and 0.4s, and a draw current of 1.5&miccro;A. In SC-70, the reset ICs draw a maximum of 1µA and have a 0.185s or 0.24s delay timer.
