Minuteman Introduces New Enterprise Series of UPS

January 29, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Minuteman (Carrollton, TX) has introduced its Enterprise Series line of UPSs, designed to offer flexible power protection for a variety of applications, including workstations, network bridges, hubs, routers, telephone systems and large servers. Each model offers full protection from ac power sags, surges, spikes and blackouts. All models feature line-interactive voltage regulation, extended back-up time with optional external battery packs, and produce a true sinewave output suitable for all types of sensitive electronic equipment.

The Enterprise units are available in 500VA, 750VA, 1,100VA, 1,500VA, 2,300VA and 3,200VA sizes to cover a wide range of equipment sizes. The 500VA to 1,500VA models measure only 2Us high (3.5") and the 2,300VA and 3,200VA models are only 3Us high (5.25"). In addition, each model measures only 15" in depth, compared to competitive models that are up to 26" in depth.

For critical business applications that require back-up time, the Enterprise Series units also offer the option of adding external battery packs to provide unlimited runtime. Each pack has its own built-in charger to allow for faster recharging after long utility power failures.

Models are priced from $359 for the 500VA model, to $1,660 for the 3,200VA model.
