Minebea Expands 19in Power Supply Series

New Products Jan 15, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

NMB-Minebea GmbH (Germany) announced that it has expanded its 19in power supplies, which are optimized for a wide range of applications, especially telecom rectifiers and industrial equipment applications.

The new module is an electrically isolated ac/dc converter with an output power of up to 300W, specifically designed to operate as an integral part in a distributed power architecture, with or without battery backup. Features include high efficiency over the entire input range with good thermal management, over-voltage, over-temperature and short-circuit protection, as well as hot-plug capability. The module complies with the regulatory requirements for EN 61000-3-2, and the power factor-corrected input accepts voltages from 90Vac to 264Vac.

The standard case design with heatsink allows operation at nominal loads up to 45 degrees C without additional cooling. For higher power requirements, several units may be connected in parallel.
