Leviton Announces New Standard & Surge Protected PDUs

Leviton announced the release of two new series of power distribution units (PDUs). The new horizontal and vertical rack-mount models will bring increased functionality to Leviton’s PDU offering.

The P1070 series includes five new vertical surge-protected PDUs, all listed to the UL 1449 Edition 2.5 standard. With a clamping voltage rating of 400V and a peak surge current rating of 18kA, this product family features robust surge protection for connected equipment. In addition, the P1070 series PDUs provide circuit breaker protection and have LED indicators for power, surge protection, and grounding/polarity. They are available for 120V input voltage in 15 and 20A configurations.

The 4500 series PDUs mount horizontally on 19" racks or cabinets and provide economical power distribution in a 1RU space. New features include a rocker-style on/off switch, both front and rear-facing receptacles, and additional plug configurations. The 4500 series features an integrated, resettable circuit breaker and is available for 120V input voltage in 15 or 20A configurations and with 7, 10 or 15 foot input cord lengths.
