Lenmar Enterprises Inc. (Westlake Village, CA) introduced its new battery charger, the Mach 1 Speed Charger. The Mach 1 utilizes patented neotherm technology to charge lithium-ion batteries, and can fully charge a camcorder or digital camera battery in 30 minutes. The charger uses a lightweight switching power supply that allows it to operate on domestic and international voltages.
"You can charge your battery camera to maximum strength while packing your gear, having breakfast or waiting for the wedding ceremony," said Lenmar President Marty Goldberg. "The Mach 1 also works with 12V outlets, so you can use it while driving to an important event and arrive knowing you'll be ready to record it."
The Mach 1 uses a proprietary microprocessor that manages the charging process. It delivers the maximum energy level and tests and conditions the battery without overheating it. The patented process can also extend battery life by as much as five times.
The Mach 1 is priced at $99.95.
