Lambda Expands NV Family of Configurable AC-DC Power Supplies with New 300W Series

March 25, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

Lambda has expanded its popular NV family of configurable ac-dc power supplies, adding a product series that can supply 300W. The new NV-300 series is especially suitable for use in high-density medical, data communications and test-and-measurement equipment.

The units measure a very compact 3.75 x 7.25 x 1.34 inches – making them compatible with 1U enclosures – and can provide up to four regulated outputs, with a 5- or 12V standby output optional. Available at time of introduction are output voltages from 1.8 to 24V, with currents up to 40A. No minimum load current is required on any output, and the input voltage ranges from 90 to 265Vac, 45-63Hz with active power factor correction.

The new series meets EN55022 Level B conducted emissions standards with an earth leakage current of just 257µA, assisted by a patent-pending noise-canceling transformer. In addition, the supplies have IEC/UL/EN60601-1 medical approvals, as well as IEC/EN61010-1 and IEC/UL/EN60950-1 approvals, and carry the CE mark.
