Kepco Intros KLP Series Switch-Mode Power Supplies
Kepco Inc. (Flushing, NY) introduced its KLP Series of laboratory-grade, switch-mode power supplies with built-in GPIB, RS-232 and external analog programming interfaces. Three models can provide full 1,200 W output power from 0 V to 36 V through 0 V to 300 V and all voltage/current combinations in between, in a 19 in x 1U package.
The KLP Series is a new power supply in which the voltage/current limits are automatically recalculated, forming a constant-power, hyperbolic-shaped boundary between the voltage and current modes. This curve, which replaces the single max-power operating point of conventional power supplies, provides the user with an expanded choice of maximum power voltage-ampere combinations. The constant-power limit of the KLP is 1,200 W.
<p.The KLP Series is shipped with a user-wirable mating connector for the IEC 320 style recessed power inlet connector. Kepco also makes a variety of prefabricated line cord sets, available as accessories, for connecting the KLP Series to source power via conventional box-mounted receptacles.
