International Rectifier Corp. (IR, El Segundo, CA) announced the 70CRU04, a 70A amp, 400V ultra-fast diode with a 175 degrees C operating temperature rating. The new device is designed for high-frequency switching and output rectifier applications such as welding, switch-mode power supply and power conversion.
The new 70CRU04 ultra-fast diodes have a reverse-recovery time of 32ns at full-rated current. Higher frequencies enable the use of smaller magnetic components such as transformers and coils, reducing weight, cost and size.
The new 70CRU04 ultra-fast diodes are now available. Pricing is $1.70 each in 1,000-unit quantities.
