International Rectifier Debuts IRF2907ZS-7PPbF MOSFET
International Rectifier Corp. (IR, El Segundo, CA) debuted its new 160 A rated, seven-pin IRF2907ZS-7PPbF D2Pak MOSFET, which expands its family of 75 V and 100 V HEXFET® synchronous rectification MOSFETs. The 160 A rating provides an additional safety factor against surge current in switching applications. Typical applications include server switch-mode power supply rectification with 12 V output, active ORing for telecom 48 V rails, and 24 V input dc-dc converters. The switching devices are also suitable for low-voltage motor drive applications.
A standard three-lead D2Pak is limited to approximately 100 A, depending on lead cross-section and manufacturer's specification method. The new device has an enhanced seven-pin lead frame that allows larger-diameter wire-bonding, enabling the IRF2907ZS-7PPbF to achieve a 45-percent-higher current rating. In addition, the IRF2907ZS-7PPbF has a device on-resistance of 3.8 mΩ, which is at least 16-percent lower.
The new IRF2907ZS-7PPbF devices are RoHS-compliant, lead-free, qualified to Q101 grade, and have a moisture sensitivity MSL1. Available now, pricing is $1.85 each in 10,000-unit quantities. Prices are subject to change.
