Infineon Technologies Ships TenGiPHY Transceivers

Infineon Technologies AG (Germany) has begun shipment of its TenGiPHY single-chip transceivers for use in 10GbE WAN or LAN PHY devices. Primarily intended for use in XPAK form-factor, fiber-optical modules and on-host boards with XFP modules, the TenGiPHY-W and TenGiPHY-L are manufactured using the company's 0.13µm CMOS process and are claimed to be the industry's lowest power, single-chip, 10GbE transceivers. Both are packaged in 15mm x 15mm BGA packages and are priced starting at $200.
