Industrial AC-DC Power from 35W to 150W

Artesyn Embedded Technologies announced the LCB family of enclosed ac-dc power supplies, consisting of 23 new models that provide a reliable, low-cost solution for general-purpose industrial applications requiring a single low voltage dc supply. The new power supplies combine high efficiency, typically 89 or 90 percent, with a very low no-load power consumption of just 0.5 Watt.

The LCB family is offered in four series with nominal power output ratings of 35-, 50-, 10-0 and 150-Watts. The LCB35, LCB50 and LCB100 series each comprises six single-output models, offering voltages of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V and 48V, while the LCB150 series comprises five single-output models, offering voltages of 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V and 48V. LCB35, LCB50 and LCB100 series units accept a universal 88– to 264-Vac input and are also capable of operating from a 125– to 373-Vdc input, while the each LCB150 model accepts an 88– to 132-Vac or 176– to 264-Vac input and is also capable of operating from a 248– to 373-Vdc input.

Designed for normal convection cooling, all LCB family power supplies accommodate an ambient operating temperature range of minus 25 to 70 degrees C, with linear derating above 50 degrees C. LCB family power supplies are housed in a compact, robust and low profile fully ventilated metal enclosure. All connections are made via semi-shrouded screw terminals and an LED ‘Power On’ indicator is provided. An externally accessible trim pot allows the output voltage to be adjusted by ±10%.

The power supplies are protected against output overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuit conditions. They carry UL/TUV 60950-1 safety approvals and have a very high calculated MTBF ranging from 200,000 to 460,000 hours, making them suited ‘fit and forget’ power solutions for long lifetime applications.
