Illinois Capacitor Intros SPH Series SMT Capacitors

November 22, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Illinois Capacitor Inc. (Lincolnwood, IL) introduced its new SPH Series of surface-mount aluminum electrolytic capacitors, which offer twice the life of standard types. The SPH offers a one-piece molded UL94V-0 case that saves space, allowing increased board density. The profile is lower than many equivalents, with capacitance ranges from 0.47 mF to 150 mF at voltages from 4 WVdc to 50 WVdc.

The SPH Series is suitable for a wide range of applications, where there is a need for small size and high reliability, such as in portable and mobile equipment. The operating temperature ranges from -55 °C to +105 °C, with a capacitance tolerance of +20% at 20 °C (120 Hz).

For automated assembly, the SPH is available on carrier tape and reel. The SPH is 100% QC tested, assuring quality. The SPH Series surface-mount capacitors are available for immediate delivery.
