High-Capacity MLCC Delivers 330µF in EIA 1210 Outline

Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd. has announced the commercial release of the 330µF-capacitance AMK325ABJ337MM in the EIA 1210 size (3.2x2.5x2.5mm) as the latest addition to its super high-end product group of high-capacity multilayer ceramic capacitors (over 100µF). This represents an improvement in capacitance by over 50% in the same size capacitor as compared to Taiyo Yuden’s product AMK325ABJ227MM (220µF capacitance). The company claims that the large capacitance 330µF super high-end product is the first of its kind in the world.

This capacitor is expected to find use in the output filters of ac-dc power supplies and dc-dc converters and ensure the stable operation in those power supplies used in various devices. The applications for these power supplies are expected to include industrial equipment such as surveillance cameras and broadcast equipment, as well as information-related devices like PCs and servers, and all-in-one printers.
