Gloso Co. Ltd. (Taiwan), a manufacturer of dry-cell, alkali, and rechargeable batteries, released mercury-free and cadmium-free, dry-cell batteries in different sizes. The batteries are available in AAA, AA, C, and D sizes, and have a nominal voltage of 1.5 V and an aluminum foil jacket. A rectangular, 9 V version is also offered with an iron sheet jacket. The products are marketed under the Novacell brand.
Two or four pieces are packed in shrink-wrap PVC. A paper box contains 10 to 60 pieces, and an export carton holds 500 to 2,400 pieces. Pricing is available on direct inquiry. Minimum orders are $5,000 worth. Delivery is 30 to 45 days after receipt of an L/C.
