GlobTek Unveils New Switch-Mode Power Supplies

GlobTek Inc. (Northvale, NJ) introduced its new family of open-frame, low-profile, leading-edge, 288W switch-mode power supplies, which measure 215mm x 107mm x 60mm, and feature convection-cooled designs that offer up to 300W of regulated power. The power sources are suitable for telecommunications and datacommunications, video, industrial, and medical equipment systems.

Designs have active power-factor correction and a built-in EMI filter, limiting ac surge current and short-circuit/overload protection. A universal wide-range input of 85Vac to 264Vac, 47Hz to 63Hz, and outputs of 3.3Vdc to 48Vdc and multiple, up to quad, are available. Designed to meet a MTBF rating of up to 150,000-plus hours at 50 degrees C without a fan, all designs are approved or designed to meet international safety agency approvals (UL, cUL, TUV, CE, CB for ITE #950 or Medical #601.1) and EMC requirements.

The new power supplies are priced at $65 for OEM production quantities. Modified and custom designed power supplies up to 2,000W are also available.
