GE Industrial Systems Unveils AF-300 Mini Drive

June 23, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

GE Industrial Systems (Plainville, CT), a division of General Electric Co., announced the launch of the AF-300 mini variable-frequency ac drive designed for optimum process control. The AF-300 Mini adjustable frequency drive offers variable speed control for ac induction motors in a reliable, space-saving package. The ability to control the speed of an ac induction motor allows maximum energy savings when applied to a fan or pump.

The GE AF-300 Mini drive requires less mounting space and features flush side-by-side mounting of drives for enhanced flexibility. Another new feature built into the AF-300 Mini design is the predictive maintenance alarm. The alarm can be custom-wired to a pilot light or programmable logical controller and will signal an alarm when the cooling fan or internal dc link capacitor has nearly reached its specified wear-hour lifespan.

The new GE AF-300 Mini is available through your GE sales representative, authorized GE Drives distributors and original equipment manufacturers.
