eZIGBT adds Features and More IGBTs to make Choosing an IGBT Easier

By utilizing the Tools available at ezigbt.com, the power converter designers can gain a better understanding of the available IGBTs and arrive at the optimum IGBT most suitable for their application. As part of continuous improvement of the user experience, several new features and services have been added at ezIGBT. Based on user feedback, a lot of new IGBT models from major manufacturers have been added to the online library. Several new IGBT manufacturers have also been added.

The descriptions for various input fields are displayed until the user fills in the boxes with relevant information. This makes it easier for the designer to understand the input fields and provide appropriate input. The site has been recrafted to provide much faster response, enabling the designer to simulate the performance quickly and easily.

To enhance the user experience, the IGBT part numbers are retained as the user moves across different tools without having to re-enter them. The site also features a “Get Samples” service, through which, the user can request for samples from the distributors listed. Once the designer narrows down to a list of part numbers that could work in their systems, they can order samples through the distributor of their choice to try in their systems.

Another useful service added to the site is to “Get support” from the OEMs directly. Through the links provided on the site, the designer can contact the manufacturers to get clarifications to their queries. Users can also to subscribe for updates to receive alerts when new tools and IGBT models are added to eZIGBT. Coming soon is a feature called ‘Recommend’ that allows you to input your application conditions of current, voltage, temperatures and the tool will suggest 5 IGBTs that come closest to the target.
