EOS Corp. (Camarillo, CA) introduced a new ac/dc switching power supply, the MVLT110 Series of open-frame switching power supplies.
The EOS units are designed to power a wide range of medical electronic equipment. Packing over 6.8W per cubic inch in a 3in x 5in x 1.07in footprint, the power supply delivers 110W of output power and up to 85 percent or better efficiency. Just slightly over 1in high, the MVLT110 will not block air-flow circulation but rather allows for proper cooling throughout the entire system in 1U designs.
The MVLT110 power supply comes in single-output versions from 5V to 48V. There are also five quad-output versions, including a model offering a 3.3V output rated at 15A and 5V output rated at over 4A for mixed-mode logic boards. Additional features include overload, over-voltage protection and power-fail detect. The power supply includes on-board filtering for class B compliance to EN55022 and FCC Part 15. The product carries the CE Mark and complies with EN61000-3-2 Class A for harmonic distortion.
The MVLT110 product family is available now with 10 to 12 week lead times. The quad-output models sell in quantities of 100 starting at $103 per piece, and the single-output versions sell in quantities of 100 starting at $87 each.
