Endicott Research Group Debuts P44W DC/AC Inverter

June 09, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Endicott Research Group Inc. (Endicott, NY) announced its new P44W encapsulated dc/ac inverter that provides up to 15W output to power automotive LCDs such as those found in GPS navigational systems and A/V entertainment displays.

The device has a starting voltage of up to 3kVrms and runs up to 9mils boost current for quick warmup in cold starts. It is rated for operation from -30 to +85 degrees C and integrates an on-board, PWM dimming with external analog control. The board-mountable device features a vacuum-encapsulated construction that is resistant to shock vibration and humidity, making the inverter suitable for use in high-pressure, automotive-type, mercury and phosphor lamps.

The P44W is priced at $19.73 in 1,000-piece quantities.
