New Products Sep 05, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Enatel Ltd. (Christchurch, New Zealand) announced the availability of its new RW Series DC System in a Box solutions. With nominal output voltages of 12Vdc, 24Vdc and 48Vdc and ratings from 300W to 700W, the products offer space and cost-efficient powering solutions for small loads.

Measuring 12.2in x 6.1in x 2.4in (311mm x 155mm x 60mm), the self-contained dc power systems provide telecommunications quality power outputs, with built-in metering, low-voltage disconnect, auto-float boost operation, temperature compensation and volts-free relay alarm outputs for high-volts, low-volts, mains-fail, charger-fail and off-normal conditions.

Utilizing a resonant switching topology, the units operate with high efficiencies and offer significant cost savings and space-saving benefits over traditional small power solutions. The RW Series of products have been developed to comply with the requirements for common international safety approvals as well as those for EN55022, Class B, EMI emissions.
