EMCO Unveils Q60/Q80/Q101 Power Supplies

New Products Oct 21, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

EMCO High Voltage Corp. (Sutter Creek, CA) introduced their Q60, Q80 and Q101 10,000V power supplies, which double the output voltage range of EMCO’s Q Series of ultra-miniature dc-to-dc converters.

The Q60, Q80 and Q101 (Q60N, Q80N and Q101N for negative-output polarity) models accept 0V to 5V on the input and provide 0kV to 6kV, 8kV or 10kV output. These power supplies utilize a quasi-sine wave oscillator and an enclosed pot core transformer, resulting in low levels of EMI/RFI and low-output ripple.

The isolated output is proportional to the input and features a low 0.7V turn-on voltage. Measuring only 0.85in x 0.85in x 0.85in (21.5mm x 21.5mm x 21.5mm) and weighing only 1oz (28g), these ultra-miniature converters are suitable for size- and weight-critical applications. Small quantities are available from stock.
