EMCO Debuts Addition to Octo-Channel Line

New Products Aug 01, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

EMCO High Voltage Corp. (Sutter Creek, CA) unveiled a new 8kV addition to its high-performance, high-voltage Octo-Channel system, which provides eight individually programmable high-voltage outputs in one rack-mount package. Featuring stability and low ripple, the Octo-Channel high-voltage system is protected against output overload, short circuits and arcing to ground.

Suitable for detector arrays, wire chambers and other applications requiring multiple-precision, high-voltage outputs, the system is designed for easy integration into a computer-controlled environment. Each channel features 0 to 100 percent programmability, high accuracy, high stability, very low ripple and output-voltage monitoring. Eight outputs of 0V to 200V through 0V to 8,000V are available in any combination of voltage and polarity. Input power is through an amphenol circular connector. Controls and monitoring are via a 25-pin, sub-miniature D connector. Modular system components are pre-fabricated and inventoried for rapid custom configuration and delivery.
