EMCO Adds New Compact HV Power Supply For Detector Applications

EMCO High Voltage Corp. announced its new compact power supply (0 to 2,000 volts @<1W) – Model 10077, which the company claims has undergone extensive testing in extreme environmental conditions and can be easily modified to fit a particular application. The device is well suited for Detector or APD applications such as: spectrometers, blood analyzers, DNA analyzers, radiation test and measuring, X-ray scanning, detector arrays and more.

Standard features are said to include: low power consumption of < 300mW, ripple < 2mV p-p; high stability; 0 to 100% programmable output voltage; and over voltage protection and a voltage monitor. Options encompass low out gassing epoxy and an extended operating temperature range of -55 to +70°C. With a miniature case size of 1.25in.³ and weighing < 80 grams, this supply is well suited for portable instruments & hand held applications. The power supplies are also said to feature a mean time to critical failure of > 120 years.
