Eltek Energy Announces the Aeon 4000 Power Rack System
Eltek Energy (UK) announced the launch of their new Aeon system in the US at Intelec 2000. The Aeon 4000 power rack system is based around the SMPS 4000 rectifier module. This high-density unit is a 4,000W, power-limited power supply/battery charger that can be utilized in systems with capacities from 24kW to 288KW, through the application of standard system components. The SMPS 4000 has been designed to work anywhere in the world and will operate from 100Vac to 300Vac.
Eltek's new unit will shut down at high ac voltage, thus providing protection when the neutral supply is lost. The power factor is 0.995 and total harmonic distortion is very low, even under poor supply conditions. The SMPS 4000 is monitored by the Aeon Gold Alarm and Control Unit. This module includes Winpower; an external windows-based software package to facilitate installation and service. Communication through TCP/IP is also possible. Parameter inputs and alarm conditions are fully user programmable, in conjunction with the user outputs.
