Electric Fuel Corp to Produce EverActive Cellular Phone Batteries for Wal-Mart

Electric Fuel Corporation (Iselin, NJ) announced that it will produce a line of fully charged, ready-to-use, disposable cellular phone batteries that Wal-Mart will market under the EverActive brand name. Electric Fuel claims that the disposable batteries, which are based on zinc-air fuel cell technology, provide consumers with up to five times more talk and stand-by time when compared with conventional batteries. Wal-Mart will feature this new product at 1,000 stores nationwide in December 2000.
