Diodes, Inc. Releases New Medium Power Bipolar Junction Transistors
Diodes Inc. announced the release of 21 medium-power bipolar junction transistors in its SOT89-3L package. These new devices are suitable for a wide range of high volume applications, which include switching and linear amplification, pass elements for discrete linear voltage regulators, MOSFET drivers for switching regulators, supply-line switches, medium-powered load switches, and power management circuits.
The bipolar junction transistors feature high collector current ratings and low collector-to-emitter saturation voltages, making these components well suited for a wide range of end-user products that are in high demand today, such as computers, portable consumer electronics, LED lighting, networking and telecommunications, set-top boxes and power supplies.
"With the release of these devices, we are continuing the expansion of our product offerings beyond small signal into medium-power devices with higher current and power," commented Mark King, Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing of Diodes, Inc. "The SOT89-3L medium-power bipolar transistor line is a follow-on to our highly successful SOT-223 medium-power transistors released in August. The expansion of our medium-power transistor product portfolio creates the opportunity for new revenue streams and helps improve Diodes’ position as a complete analog and discrete solution provider to our customers."
The introduction of these 21 bipolar junction transistor components continues the company’s expansion into the medium-power bipolar transistor market. These new products are offered in a voltage range of 20 to 300V and a current range of 0.2 to 5A.
