Densitron Taiwan Ltd. (Taiwan) announced the DSM4248H size 17, double-stacked stepper motor, which provides up to 0.45Nm continuously, and also offers a 0.7Nm peak holding torque for applications requiring the high-torque capability of size 23 stepper motors.
Due to its low inertia, the double-stacked version accelerates faster and has a higher speed than a typical motor, according to the company. The device also offers cost savings since a size 17 motor can be used in place of a size 23 motor.
The DSM4248H motor is suitable for applications in automotive, test equipment and anthropometric-dependent products. Pricing is $15 each in 1,000 pieces.
