September 12, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Delta Electronics Inc. (Chungli, Taiwan), a leader in power systems technology and manufacturing, introduced its new Q48DB, a 65 W, bipolar, dual-output, quarter-brick converter into its Delphi Series of board-mounted dc-dc power converters. The Delphi Series Q48DB provides both a positive and a negative output of up to 65 W in a cost-effective, industry-standard, quarter-brick footprint.

The Q48DB isolated dc-dc converter operates from a wide range input voltage of 36 V to 75 V, and is available in output voltages of ±5 V and ±12 V. Each output may be used independently. The quarter-brick-sized Q48DB unit offers efficiencies of up to 90% at full load. The Delphi Q48DB unit delivers has industry-leading efficiencies and more board space at less cost for space-constrained and cost-sensitive applications.

In OEM quantities of 1,000 pieces, the unit price is $25. Standard lead time is from stock to eight weeks, depending on the volume.
