Danaher Power Offers New CYBEREX DSTS

February 25, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Danaher Power Solutions (Highland Heights, OH) announced its new CYBEREX modular digital static transfer switch (DSTS), which is designed for applications where seamless transfers are necessary because of the critical nature of the electrical load. Typical installations include banks, data centers, manufacturing facilities and other critical operations that depend on clean, uninterrupted power.

The Modular DSTS offers complete packaging flexibility and is designed to mount easily into switch gear or any distribution equipment to provide the smallest total footprint. The DSTS features solid-state third pole and a 200-percent-rated neutral and fourth pole. The rugged, fuseless technology incorporates high-reliability silicon-control rectifiers, which eliminates the need to replace fuses. The DSTS also can be configured to provide front access for operation and serviceability.

The Modular DSTS eliminates loss of power to loads by coordinating with the electrical distribution system. During a fault condition, it will continue to conduct current, allowing downstream breakers to work selectively.
