Dain Electronics Releases PPN/PPS Capacitors

Dain Electronics Co. Ltd. (Taiwan) released its new PPN and PPS polypropylene film capacitors, which feature a dissipation factor of 0.1% (maximum) and are insulated to 30 gigaohms. The PPN offers capacitances ranging from 1 nF to 0.47 µF, with a tolerance of ±5%, ±10% or ±20%, while the PPS offers capacitances ranging from 1 nF to 33 nF, tolerances of ±5% or ±10%.

Both devices, rated at 100 kVdc, 250 kVdc, 400 kVdc, 630 kVdc or 1 kVdc, have a dielectric strength twice the rated voltage, and operate within the -40 °C to +85 °C temperature range.
